Whether your group knows every lyric or has never heard a single song, each queen’s moves come in a beginner-friendly version and no dance experience is needed. Six queens or sixteen, the teacher builds the routine around your group on the day to fit your headcount.
History lessons were never this loud
SIX took the wives of Henry VIII and turned them into a girl group, and it’s made for a hen. There are six queens, each with her own attitude, which means a group can split into teams, pick favourites and play the diva without anyone feeling silly. A SIX hen party dance class borrows that pop-concert energy: sharp arms, power stances, hair flicks and plenty of pointing at the audience.
This is our own choreography inspired by the show, not a copy of it, and we have no connection with the production itself. The teacher takes the flavour of the show’s staging, all sharp lines and pop-concert swagger, sets it to the one song picked from your top five, and shapes the moves around the people in the room. Nobody needs to have danced before; each move has a simpler version, and the confident ones get extra attitude to play with.
As hen party ideas go, it’s a treat for fans of the soundtrack and just as good for guests who only know it from the car radio, because the songs are catchy from the first listen. Among hen party activities in and around Dudley, it’s the one that gives every friend a queen to play, and the finale video looks like a concert encore.
Class happens in a room we hire near Dudley town centre, or the teacher can come to a venue you’ve booked around the Black Country with space for six-queen formations. Tuition and the room are rolled into a single written figure.

yoursWhy ninety suits SIX: the choreography lives in crisp, synchronised arms and formation changes, and the extra half hour lets the whole court sharpen those up so the finale looks like a concert rather than a rehearsal.
Queenly pop choreography for your entire court, with the room’s venue hire written onto that same quote.
Ideas for your court’s top five
Consider these a prompt, not a programme. Your court sends its own top five songs in order of preference, whichever queens’ songs you love most, and your instructor crowns one of them before the class and prepares the choreography to that single track. If the bride has a favourite queen, put her song first.
How songs work: once you’ve booked, send us your top five songs in order of preference, and your instructor picks one from your list before the class.

finaleWhere SIX fits a Dudley hen day
The class fits nicely into an afternoon, with brunch before and a change of outfit after, whether you’re staying in Dudley, heading to Merry Hill or going into Birmingham for the evening. Crowns, sparkle and a bit of Tudor-meets-pop styling are welcome if you have them, but they come from your own wardrobes; trainers you can stomp in are the priority.
Queens arriving from Sedgley, Stourbridge, Tipton or beyond? Pop the travel plans in your enquiry and we’ll find a start that gets the whole court there on time. A dance hen party inspired by SIX suits groups from six to thirty, and the hen do dance class fee stays the same whatever size your court.
Verdicts from the court
There were exactly six of us, so of course we each claimed a queen. The teacher gave everyone a little signature move and the finale was genuinely brilliant.
The bride knows every lyric and was beside herself. Even the guests who’d never heard the soundtrack were singing along by the end.
Fast, fun and properly taught. The quote had the room in it, so there were no surprises, and the video is still being passed round.
Is this class connected to the official SIX production?
No. It’s our own choreography inspired by the songs and style of the show, created for hen parties. We have no link with the production, its tours or any theatre.
What if our group is bigger or smaller than six?
No problem at all. Bigger groups can form teams behind each queen, and smaller groups can double up. The teacher shapes the formations around your headcount on the day.
Can the bride play her favourite of the six queens?
Of course. Mention it on the form and the teacher will do their best to give her a moment in that queen’s style, whether that’s defiant, cheeky or pure diva.
What does a SIX-themed hen class cost in Dudley?
One fee covers the whole court, with the venue charged on top. Ninety minutes is £190 plus venue and is what we’d recommend for tidy formations; sixty minutes is £165 plus venue. You’ll get it on one written quote, never priced per guest.
Where would our queens be dancing?
Typically in a room we hire near Dudley town centre, with enough width for six-across formations. If your hen is based at a venue with a good floor, the teacher is happy to bring the concert to you.
Do the guests need to know the SIX soundtrack beforehand?
It helps, but it isn’t necessary. The songs are catchy, and the teacher explains every move from scratch. A listen on the drive over makes a handy warm-up if you fancy it.
